To boost their lifesaving work with neonatal kittens, Humane Society of Valdosta/Lowndes County came up with a bold idea: a dedicated Kitten Superhero staff member focused entirely on foster-based care. Enter Monique, the fearless foster coordinator leading their bottle baby program.
With support from the Kitten Superhero grant, Monique was able to:
- Launch a “Kitten 911” inbox to support community members who found kittens outside
- Recruit, train, and support dozens of new foster families
- Equip foster homes with all the essential supplies needed to care for the tiniest kittens
The impact speaks for itself:
- Over 100 community inquiries answered
- 41 foster families supported
- 308 kittens saved
