Your new best friend awaits!

Looking to adopt a new kitten (or two!) in Southern California?

At Orphan Kitten Club, we specialize in saving the lives of orphaned neonatal kittens and providing the expert care they need to grow into healthy and loving companions. We’re proud to raise some of the most cuddly, socialized kittens you’ll ever meet in our state-of-the-art kitten nursery

Our nursery kittens generally arrive as newborns. As they approach adoption age, we match them with loving homes.

We post up-to-date photos and videos of our kittens on social media.

  • Applicants must live within 8 hours driving distance of San Diego, CA and have reliable transportation.
  • Kittens do best with have a friend! Our kittens are typically adopted as pairs. We adopt out single kittens only to homes that already have at least one young, playful cat.
  • Fill out the form thoroughly. We appreciate detailed applications! Incomplete forms will not be considered.
  • Must be 21+ to apply.

To help reduce stress on the kittens while traveling, OKC only adopts to people who live within an eight hour driving radius of San Diego. Please visit your local shelter or contact your local rescue if you are interested in adopting a kitten and live outside of our area. Need help finding a local shelter or rescue? Try the following resources to help find your new best friend, Adopt a Pet, PetFinder and Home to Home Pet Adoptions.

Thank you for fostering! Check out this Kitten Lady video for information on how to find your foster kitten a home. Orphan Kitten Club is not able to assist with adoptions for cats and kittens outside of our programs.

As our kittens approach 6 weeks, our team reads through recent applications. When an application is a good match for one of our kittens, we set up a time for a 20-30 minute adoption interview to get to know the applicant. If approved for adoption, an adoption contract is sent, an adoption fee is paid, and pertinent adoption information and records are provided. After that, we stay in touch with cute updates until they’re ready for pickup!

Our kitten adoption fees are $200 for a solo kitten & $250 for a duo.

This fee helps offset our expenses, which span between $800-5000 per kitten.

All Orphan Kitten Club kittens come with health records and preventive care including up-to-date vaccination, deworming, spay/neuter, and microchipping.

One of the most important ways we can support the behavioral and emotional development of a kitten is to make sure they’ve got a friend. Despite the common belief that cats are solitary animals, they’re actually incredibly social beings who thrive when they have feline friends from an early age. That’s why I always recommend adopting two kittens, or adopting a solo kitten only if you already have another young cat in the home for the kitten to befriend.
