A $24,023 grant funded the launch of a satellite foster hub in northeast Tarrant County, removing barriers for families who previously had to travel to the main shelter for neonatal foster support.
During the 10-month grant period, the hub helped recruit 205 new foster families and placed 514 neonatal kittens into foster homes, nearly half of all kittens fostered by the organization during that time. The expanded capacity also allowed the shelter to take in more vulnerable kittens from local municipal shelters, improving outcomes across the region.
