Small Hands, Tiny Paws put everything a new foster needs into one kit, including supplies, training material, and support from a foster mentor. The kits went to new fosters taking in small kittens from the nursery, and 39 kittens were impacted.
One kit went to a mom and her two kids, who spent their summer fostering a litter of four 4 week old kittens. The kids were excited to meet their foster mentor and bring the kittens home. For six weeks, the family cared for the litter together until the kittens were ready to head back to the nursery.
The kits were made possible by Kira Serisky, a beloved teen foster parent whose legacy lives on through Kira’s Fund.
