The Kitten Youth Directive invited kids to learn how to be kitten heroes at a free community event. About 104 people came, including 45 kids ages 3 to 15. They made cat toys, fleece blankets, and feral cat shelters, colored, and learned about everyday kitten care from foster kids who served as event ambassadors.
The program exists thanks to Kira Serisky, a beloved teen foster parent whose legacy lives on through Kira’s Fund.
