A $5,250 grant funded two neonatal incubators and community lockboxes stocked with foster supplies, helping a rescue double its intake of neonatal kittens.
The incubators gave staff a safe way to care for vulnerable newborns while foster placements were arranged, while the lockboxes made fostering more accessible by putting supplies within easy reach. Together, these resources helped the rescue take in more underage kittens and improve its live release rate.
Kittens like Evie, Odessa, and Random were found cold and alone at a TNR colony after unsuccessful attempts to reunite them with their mother. The incubators gave them a stable place to recover until foster care was available.
