Feline Rescue Coordinator

This funding supported a dedicated feline foster coordinator, a role built to get the tiniest kittens out of the shelter and into foster homes quickly. With a coordinator focused on kittens, they moved to foster homes faster and spent less time risking disease exposure in the shelter. The coordinator also created protocols and training videos that helped fosters feel confident caring for kittens at home. Fosters felt more supported and less burned out. After the role was added, the number of kittens who died in the shelter dropped by half, showing how dedicated staff save lives.
