For every kitten taken in, Feline Advocates of Leon County traced their origins, visited the location, and spayed/neutered and vaccinated the entire community cat colony. By ending the reproductive cycle at the source, they prevented countless future litters from being born.
A $17,000 grant made this work possible—funding educational materials, traps, and all costs associated with TNR surgeries. The program’s success has been remarkable: it not only continues to operate in Tallahassee but has also expanded into surrounding rural communities, creating lasting, regional impact.
