Kittens need room to grow, and the techs caring for them need a space that works as hard as they do. This grant gave the shelter’s kitten area an extreme makeover.
New kennels gave kittens more space and gave techs a more functional place to work. Kittens recovering from injuries had a safe spot to rest for their entire healing time, and new intakes had a place to land while they waited for foster placement.
About 500 kittens used the new kennels, and staff said they made a tremendous difference. Kennels last for years, so many more kittens will benefit from this funding!
