Spaying and neutering is a vital step before kittens find their forever homes, and access to these services is more critical than ever. When Meow Parlour faced the closure of their partner spay/neuter clinic, they came up with an innovative solution, one we were proud to support through this grant.
Meow Parlour was able to train their vet in high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter (HQHVSN) techniques, hire a technician, and invest in the equipment needed to bring spay and neuter services in-house at their very own clinic.
The result? Over 100 kittens have received surgery so far. This effort not only helps reduce overpopulation but ensures these kittens are healthy and ready for adoption, leaving a lasting positive impact on both the animals and the community in New York City for many years to come. Now that’s something to celebrate!
