A $25,000 grant covered the salaries of two seasonal kitten caregivers, Jess and Alisha. Their roles provided daily feeding, care, and monitoring during a season when the shelter received as many as 50 kittens a day, along with support for foster recruitment and placement.
The funding helped care for nearly 2,700 kittens in a single kitten season, giving one of the shelter’s most vulnerable populations a better chance at a positive outcome.
