Spider Monkey arrived in care fighting a severe upper respiratory infection. The infection hit her eyes the hardest, leaving both infected and covered in built-up tissue. She was also too small to have surgery right away, so she stayed on oral and eye antibiotics while she worked on gaining weight.
Week by week, she improved. What looked like the loss of both eyes narrowed down to just one as treatment started to work. She doesn’t have full vision, but she can see shadows and bright lights. Her vision differences don’t slow her down one bit!
