Speck and Mag arrived needing serious care. Mag had a painful wound on his side requiring immediate surgery, and Speck stayed loyally by his brother’s side throughout. Just when things seemed to be settling down, both kittens began having trouble going to the bathroom. A vet visit revealed they both had atresia ani, a congenital condition where the anal opening is misformed. Each kitten underwent two balloon dilation procedures to widen the opening, and both are now feeling better than ever and growing stronger together.
