Sir Wobbleton

Location: Arizona
Condition: PRAA Surgery
Organization: Newborn Kitten Rescue

Sir Wobbleton, or Wobbles for short, has cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), which gives him his signature wobble. It never slowed him down. Eating did.

Radiographs, a CT scan, and a barium study revealed persistent right aortic arch (PRAA), a condition where a band of tissue from the heart squeezes the esophagus. Food gets stuck, regurgitation occurs, and there is a real risk of aspiration pneumonia. Wobbles was fed small, blended meals while sitting upright. Then came thoracoscopic surgery to release the tissue and open up his esophagus. It went well! At his recheck, Wobbles was eating both wet and dry food completely normally. He still has a little wobble from his CH, but the PRAA is fully healed and this handsome orange boy is thriving.
