Scoops

Location: Oklahoma
Condition: Pectus Excavatum
Organization: Oklahoma Humane Society

Scoops arrived with labored breathing and an abnormal-looking chest. X-rays revealed a severe case of pectus excavatum, a congenital deformity where the breastbone grows inward, compressing the lungs. His condition was serious enough to require two complex surgeries with custom external chest splints to slowly reshape his ribcage and restore normal breathing. Through it all, Scoops stayed sweet and full of purrs. With expert care and a devoted foster, he made an incredible recovery and was adopted into his forever home.
