Nyx

Nyx arrived at just four weeks old alongside her mom and sister Astrid. While her sister zoomed around with kitten energy, Nyx tired easily and lagged behind. A full exam and X-ray revealed pectus excavatum, and her case was the most severe her care team had ever seen, with her sternum deviated upward, compressing her chest, reducing lung expansion, and shifting her heart. Specialty surgery followed by recovery in a splint gave her a second chance at a full life. Just four weeks post-surgery, Nyx was climbing, running, and playing.
