Nutty Buddy came in with what appeared to be a minor issue, but he began declining rapidly despite prior vet checks. It was discovered that his medication had been incorrectly dosed for his small size, leading to acute kidney failure. He was rushed to an emergency vet for round-the-clock care and fluids. By the first day he was already showing improvement, eating and responding well. After a three-day stay his kidneys were trending in the right direction and he was released to a foster home. Just over a week after battling acute kidney failure, Nutty Buddy is thriving, getting more active every day, and on his way to a full recovery.
