Nola

Location: Wisconsin
Condition: Amputation
Organization: Wisconsin Humane Society

Nola was found at just three and a half weeks old under a porch with a wire wrapped tightly around her left hind leg, causing a severe injury that meant her leg couldn’t be saved. Too small for immediate surgery, she was kept comfortable on pain medication while her foster helped her eat and gain the strength she needed. When her leg developed a serious infection, Nola underwent emergency amputation, becoming one of the smallest kittens ever to receive the procedure at her shelter. She came through surgery beautifully.
