Niko arrived at just two weeks old with his siblings, cold, wet, and dangerously underweight. As the kittens grew, it became clear that Niko’s eyes were different. He was diagnosed with eyelid agenesis, a condition that worsened over time and caused increasing irritation and discomfort. Artificial tears managed his condition until he was big enough for surgery. His bilateral enucleation went smoothly, and he recovered quickly, returning to his foster home and right back to his favorite sleeping spot tucked between his siblings.
