Meg was found outside with her placenta still attached, her tiny body covered in dirt and debris. Her health declined rapidly in foster care, and she soon required hospitalization. She was diagnosed with severe pneumonia affecting 85% of her lungs, along with tapeworms that were stealing vital nutrients and hindering her recovery.
Meg spent seven days hospitalized on constant oxygen while receiving treatment. Though more than one doctor warned her prognosis was poor, Meg proved she is a fighter and overcame every hurdle in her path.
