Meeko

Location: Washington
Condition: Chronic Condition Treatment, Amputation
Organization: The NOAH Center

Meeko arrived at just four weeks old with severe swelling in her front leg, unable to put any weight on it. Initial treatment for a suspected abscess didn’t resolve the swelling, and further examination revealed the true cause: a deformity in her elbow joint with no cartilage remaining. Amputation was the only path to a pain-free life. Her surgery was a success, and Meeko is now bouncing around like the happy, three-legged kitten she was always meant to be.
