Marlee was found under a house with both eyes severely infected. She was put on antibiotics and eye medications to control the infection while she gained enough weight for surgery, but her condition worsened and surgery couldn’t wait. It was discovered she had congenital glaucoma, a condition preventing normal drainage in the eye, and both eyes were removed.
The change was remarkable. Marlee went from being visibly uncomfortable to playful, active, and full of life. She adapted to her surroundings with incredible ease and amazes her caregivers every day.
