Garbanzo had ongoing diarrhea and wasn’t thriving, and a trip to the emergency room revealed why. His intestine had telescoped in on itself, a condition called intussusception that can be fatal without treatment.
Garbanzo needed emergency abdominal surgery, and he got it from someone who already cared for him. His foster mom is a veterinarian, and she performed the operation herself.
Garbanzo recovered beautifully!
