C3PO

Location: Florida
Condition: Chronic Condition Treatment
Organization: Feline Advocates of Leon County

C3PO arrived slightly underweight and low on energy when she suddenly developed extremely labored breathing. An ultrasound and X-ray revealed an abundance of fluid in and around her lungs, and bloodwork pointed to Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP). She was transferred to a specialist and hospitalized, where she received oxygen therapy, antibiotics, and FIP treatment every 12 hours. After three days, she was off supplemental oxygen and follow-up X-rays showed her lung damage beginning to reverse. C3PO went on to complete her full 84-day course of FIP treatment in a loving foster home, with her veterinary team optimistic every step of the way.
