A Stitch in Time Saves Lives

An upgraded on-site surgical suite meant kittens could be spayed and neutered without a stressful trip to a clinic, saving on vet care costs too. New surgical instruments, an anesthesia machine, a pulse oximeter, and sterilizing and laundry equipment gave surgeons the tools to work more safely and efficiently. The new equipment also made it possible to do eye enucleations on site for kittens with severe infections. Around 500 kittens benefited!
