Without surgery to close the opening, he wouldn’t have had the chance at a healthy, independent life. For weeks, he was carefully fed through an esophagostomy tube while he grew big and strong enough for the complex repair he needed. Thanks to a medical grant, he received the extensive care and surgery that his cleft palate repair required. Today, Bavarian Creme is a strong, healthy kitten who eats all on his own. He plays, grows, and thrives just like any other kitten—as if he never faced such a difficult start.
