Kira’s Fund honors Kira Serisky, a beloved teen foster parent whose motto was “If I Can Do It, You Can Too,” and this grant turned that spirit into a classroom program. This education program brought animal welfare into classrooms and homeschools with free, project-based curriculum packets. Built with a professional curriculum development team, the packets cover grades 4 through 12 and are easy to download for teachers, homeschool parents, and tutors. Each one focuses on building compassion and encouraging kids to speak up for animals, including kittens, in their own communities.
The message behind it is simple: no matter how small the act, everyone can help kittens in some way.
