Jack was brought into a local shelter, initially believed to be paralyzed. He was taken to the vet, where X-rays revealed two broken legs, one at the femur and one at the hip. Despite weighing just 1.37 pounds, Jack underwent surgery to place pins in both areas. He later returned to fix a pin and treat an infection, but recovered well in his cushioned playpen.
