Five kittens arrived at a local animal shelter with severe flea infestations, their lives hanging in the balance due to life-threatening anemia caused by the fleas feeding on them. To survive, they needed blood transfusions, a costly treatment that’s often out of reach for shelters and rescues.
All five kittens received the transfusions they needed and made a full recovery.
