Duke

Duke was found with one of the worst flea infestations his rescuers had ever seen. He was placed in a foster home and seemed to be recovering well after flea treatment, a bath, and some good food, but on his fifth day in care he crashed. An emergency vet visit revealed severe anemia and a secondary bacterial infection. He needed two blood transfusions and round-the-clock monitoring to survive. By the time he was discharged, Duke was bright, alert, and eating again, a completely different kitten from the one who had come in. He made a full recovery and found his forever home.
