Fostering is one of the most powerful ways to save vulnerable kittens. With a $22,500 grant fosters were equipped with essential care kits: formula, bottles, heat support, and wet food. All the tools they need to give kittens a strong start.
CAA also flagged one critical missing piece of their program: overnight medical care. One of the most frightening experiences for fosters is finding a kitten in distress after hours. So, we provided funding for emergency care at a 24/7 clinic, giving fosters peace of mind that help was always available, day or night.
The grant couldn’t have come at a better time. CAA saw a 144% increase in kittens entering care, that’s a whopping 1,304 more kittens than expected!
Thanks to this powerful combination of supplies and emergency support, CAA met the surge head-on and saw a 25% increase in live outcomes for neonatal kittens.
