Kittens in Need

Thank you for helping the kitten! Orphan Kitten Club focuses on intaking kittens from local shelter or rescue partners. OKC does not take in surrendered or found cats or kittens from the public. If you are unable to care for the kitten you have found, please contact the shelter nearest to where the kitten was found. San Diego’s local shelters are Chula Vista Animal Care Facility, San Diego Humane Society, and San Diego Department of Animal Services. Click here to learn which shelter to contact.

OKC is unable to intake cats or kittens from outside of San Diego County. If you are unable to care for the kitten, we recommend you contact your local shelter or kitten rescue.

Check out Kitten Lady for information on kitten care.

Orphan Kitten Club does not offer medical advice. We recommend that you seek veterinary care for any sick/injured kittens or cats. If a cat is having a medical emergency, please go to your nearest 24-hour animal hospital.

Thank you for your partnership! Please contact your OKC representative directly for any questions.

TNR/Community Cats

Thank you for wanting to help the cats in your neighborhood! The best and fastest way to help is to rent a trap from a local shelter or rescue organization, and to trap them yourself. Find information on how to trap a community cat from Kitten Lady or Best Friends Animal Society. You will also need a spay/neuter appointment from a local clinic. Reach out to Feral Cat Coalition, San Diego Humane Society, or Chula Vista Animal Care Facility for information on appointments.

If  you are unable to trap the cat yourself, you can try reaching out to East County Animal Rescue, San Diego Street Cat Society, or Community Cat Foundation for help.

Adoption

If you are interested in adopting a kitten from OKC, please check out our adoption page for our adoption criteria, to meet our adoptable kittens, and to fill out an application if you feel you are a fit! We also recommend checking out San Diego Humane Society, as well as our Mightycat partners Love Your Feral Felines, Kitten Rescue Life, and Today Tomorrow Forever Animal Rescue

To help reduce stress on the kittens while traveling, OKC only adopts to people who live within an eight hour driving radius of San Diego. Please visit your local shelter or contact your local rescue if you are interested in adopting a kitten and live outside of our area. Need help finding a local shelter or rescue? Try the following resources to help find your new best friend, Adopt a Pet, PetFinder and Home to Home Pet Adoptions.

Thank you for fostering! Check out this Kitten Lady video for information on how to find your foster kitten a home. Orphan Kitten Club is not able to assist with adoptions for cats and kittens outside of our programs.
