We Want to be Feline Fine!

Project Name: We Want to be Feline Fine!
Organization: Tiny Paws Kitten Rescue, Inc.
Location: Oklahoma

With more than 200 kittens in care at any given time, medication rounds took up much of the day. This grant added two part-time vet techs to handle morning and evening meds, which freed the medical coordinator to focus on the toughest cases: kittens with ringworm, respiratory infections, and complex medical needs, many pulled from rural shelters with no way to care for them.

The team treated 338 ringworm cases, 229 URI cases, and 448 cases of diarrhea. It also grew its foster network so kittens could recover in homes instead of a busy rescue, and 721 kittens were impacted overall.

“It is such an empowering feeling as a kitten caretaker to know that when you find medical issues, you actually have the means to address them fully and thoroughly to ensure the best outcome for every kitten.” Sara, Kitten Caretaker
