At four weeks old, Winnie was fighting for her life with a rectal prolapse, a serious condition where tissue from the rectum protrudes outside the body. It was a medical emergency, and without immediate treatment, she wouldn’t have survived.
Though surgery is especially risky for such a tiny kitten, it was her only chance. The procedure was a success, and before long, Winnie made a full recovery and was reunited with her siblings.
